Bomb Pop Fourth of July Nails | NailsByErin

Hi everyone!

Today I have a super easy 4th of July nail design to share with all of you.

A few weeks ago, Sarah from 25Sweetpeas asked me to participate in her Summer Magazine Collaboration, themed around the Fourth of July! I highly recommend checking out the full magazine; it is filled with amazing nail designs, music playlists, food, fashion, and more from some amazing nail bloggers.

You can find the Summer Magazine here.

Now, onto the nails!

When Sarah explained the theme of the summer magazine, the immediate first reaction that popped into my head was Bomb Pops (or rocket pops, firecrackers, etc.) You know, those red, white, and blue ice pops that everyone has in the summer? They are just the first thing I think of when I think of a July 4th BBQ snack.

To start, I painted all of my nails with Sally Hansen "White On" as a white base. Then, I did a gradient over the top using Color Club "Cadillac Red", that same white polish, and Essie "All the Wave". Not only do these colors make a great Fourth of July mani, but the gradient looks just like a bomb pop since the colors bleed into each other.

Then, since I had to have stars and stripes, I used the star nail stencils from Snail Vinyls with Starrily "Ultima" to create a line of silver glitter stars down my ring and thumb nails.

Don't forget to use my code NAILSBYERIN to get 15% off on SnailVinyls.com!

I'm actually really happy with how these nails turned out! I don't always do designs in time for holidays like this, so I was really glad I got to do them as a part of this collab!

Here are my Bomb Pop nails with an actual Bomb Pop. I had to! :) Plus, I really needed an excuse to eat a few Bomb Pops. Getting pictures before the ice melted was a lot tougher than you'd think!

For me, sitting by the pool with an ice pop on a hot summer day is the 4th of July that I know and love! Of course, with some fireworks at night.

Side note: can you guys believe that I actually did my thumb for once? 😉Here's a shot where you can see my thumb. I did the same glitter stars from my ring finger.

I hope you guys like this design and you consider recreating it for your Independence Day festivities.
